Why does my car not start sometimes?

Why will my Renault Clio not start sometimes? It turns over but won’t start yet if I leave it for a while then it starts. Any suggestions?

You do not say what engine you have and how old the car is, but if we assume it's a petrol then we have listed what we consider could be the problem
1.Ignition coils
2.CPS (crankshaft position sensor) wiring / connection or just starting to fail
3 The actual ignition key (immobiliser)
4. Wiring and connections. Loose or corroded connections in the electrical system, particularly around the ignition coil, starter motor and fuel pump relay can cause intermittent starting problems.
5. Fuel filter (getting blocked) or injectors
Because the fault is intermittent, identifying the actual problem is difficult.

You may want to find a garage to carry out an inspection to narrow down what the fault is.
