Whar car do you suggest to replace an ageing Vauxhall Zafira?
I am still driving a 2001 Zafira Mk1 but it feels close to the end of its life. Please can you advise what recent pre-owned car would most closely replicate the two aspects that I find incredibly useful? It is reasonably compact to park in our crowded, narrow road and with the middle seats lowered the cargo volume is huge and I still regularly shift substantial loads. I no longer need the seven seats as the children are grown up. Many thanks if you can help.

Depending on how much smaller you want to go, a Skoda Yeti could be worth a look. These have a very compact footprint (slightly shorter than a VW Golf and roughly the same width), yet are hugely practical thanks to the tall ceiling and 'Varioflex' rear seats which can be independently removed to maximise load space. The official total boot volume is 1760 litres with all seats removed, which is actually more than the considerably longer Skoda Octavia estate manages.
