Loose rocker cover

Why would the rockers come loose on my Jeep Cherokee engine?

The garage is saying it has been over revved but as it is a an automatic I am finding it hard to believe them!

Because of a problem with the stretch bolts, probably similar to Vauxhall Corsa petrol engines.
