Does my Kia Soul have a cambelt or chain?

I have a Kia Soul Samba CRDi 1.6 1st generation, my garage tells me I have a chain. Other info I looked up tells me its a cambelt, garage says it has metal cover. Would you be able to verify for me?

You can check using our handy guide here - www.honestjohn.co.uk/advice/owning-advice/timing-c...# but to confirm, your Kia is fitted with the D4FB unit from the U-series of Hyundai engines, all of which have chain drive.
