Keyless go

As the new Mondeos do not need a key to start, only a fob, if the fob is outside the car will it still start? I believe some people found that it does, others that it does not.

It has been the case that cars with this type of system have started on the strength of the signal from the fob in someone's pocket outside the car. But if the driver switches off later in his journey (or at the end of it), he cannot restart the car.
