Residual values 2WD vs 4WD

If I buy a 2wd drive petrol version of a crossover e.g. Skoda Yeti & Nisan Quashai, will the residual value hold up as well as the 4wd diesel?

Probably better because it's more fuel efficient. Just not when it's snowing.
