Should I be wary of buying a car that's fitted with a tow?

Before buying a used example of a 1.5 petrol manual Ford Kuga what should I be weary of it as it has a tow bar. Concerned about wear and tear on the engine, clutch, brakes and car structure.

What is a good towing car for a trailer?

I am looking to buy a car with a towbar, my daily travel is less than 10 miles back and forth to work what would you suggest I buy? I tow a 8x4 twin axle builder trailer once every month or so.
