Waiting list on an Audi A3

I am considering buying an Audi A3 low mileage instead of my ususal BMW. I went to the main dealer in Cardiff who was not very helpful, had no brochures for the A3 and told me to "go home and apply for one on the computer" as they were out of stock! This I did but received a letter in the post to say they were out of stock and I had to go to the main delaer in my town.

Do you think they are about to change the model? Why is there such a shortage? I just wondered if you had heard anything behind the scenes as it were. Are Audi dealers normally this difficult to deal with?

Get the message. Yes, the A3 is at the end of its days. But so is the BMW 1-Series, which is about to go front wheel drive. Think seriously about a new Focus 1.6 Ecoboost 150.
