How can I find a council-run MoT test centre?

I read a few years back that you could have your car MoT tested at a council-run testing centre. Is that still the case? How would I find my local council MoT test centre?

Yes, you can take your car or van to a council MoT test centre. You can find one by contacting your local authority or looking at the list of active MoT test stations at Gov.UK.
