Best used car for bikes and children?

What car would you recommend for a short commute and to carry a toddler and a bike? It would be a second car but will need to be able to drop my three-year-old off at nursery and commute a part of my way to work before cycling the rest of the way. My budget is up to £4500.

At this price point, I'd go with a Honda Jazz. It has a very good reputation for reliability and features a magic seat system that lets you flip and fold the rear seats to accommodate something bulky like a bike: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/honda/jazz-2014/
