Why is blue smoke coming out of my car when I accelerate?

I was driving my car the other day and all of a sudden the car starts producing blue smoke. It wasn't much but it was noticeable in the rear mirror. The car has been making this turbine-like noise when accelerating every now and then, too. I started the car this morning and no smoke came out until I started accelerating. Is that the turbo seal or the turbo itself? Many thanks.

Blue smoke is usually an indication that oil is getting into places it shouldn't. Common culprits include the valve stem oil seals and/or the turbo oil seals. The turbine noise is a worry, as it suggests that oil is entering the combustion chamber. I would recommend getting the engine checked by a garage, ASAP.
