We're changing our car next year. Should we go all-electric or hybrid?

We're looking to change our current car (SEAT Ateca) next year and wondered whether to go all-electric or hybrid. Normally (out of lockdown) we would only do about 6 long journeys a year and weekly only about 6 short runs. We don't have a garage but do have a drive and somewhere to put a charging point.

If most of your day-to-day driving is within the range of an EV and you can charge at home, it could be a good time to go electric. It probably depends on the length of your longer journeys and your willingness to get acquainted with the (flakey but improving) public charging infrastructure. The new Volkswagen ID.4, for example, has a range of 310 miles. This'll drop slightly in the real world, but if you can cover your long journeys with only one stop to charge, it won't be too much of a nuisance.
