All to tether now

I have recently fallen foul of new parking restrictions and had my vehicle removed by a local clamping company. The cost for return of my vehicle was £540. The excessive penalty, the underhand way the restriction has been imposed and the disturbing procedure for securing the release of my vehicle seemed to be 'criminal'. However, having contacted the local Highways authority and the Citizens Advice Bureau, it would seem there are virtually no regulations to adhere to so therefore none to break. I would welcome any advice you may have.

That is outrageous. Fortunately public reaction to clamping cowboys and an election on the horizon is apparently leading to new regulations to control them. Believe it when it happens.
