Banked to rights

When you're selling a car via an advert to a complete stranger, what's the safest way to receive payment? Cash, banker's draft? I've looked on FAQ but could not see this one covered.

Cash, in a bank, where you can immediately bank it. Or Moneygram or Western Union, but the last two are expensive. Drafts and transfers can later be rescinded, especially when paid from overseas.
