Warrant piece

I bought a 3 and a half-year-old BMW 120D from CarGiant two weeks ago for £8.5k. On returning to London from Devon, after my first long journey in it, I found I couldn’t start it. BMW says that the electric power steering has gone and that it’ll cost me £1k. Do I have any right of redress with CarGiant?

CarGiant is generally very good about things like this and plays Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumer Regulations right down the line. Get in touch with them. Though, it may well be they will require a second opinion as it is not unknown for franchised dealers to attempt to capitalise out of situations like this.
