I want to replace my estate with a crossover. What do you recommend?

I wish to purchase a small SUV to replace my Volvo V50. I am 73 and having read your review, I'm wondering whether the Honda Jazz would fit the bill.

The Honda Jazz isn't an SUV but in Crosstar trim is almost passable as a crossover - with a slightly raised ride height and rugged looks. It's a good car, with low running costs and a versatile interior. If you want a 'proper' crossover SUV, we'd recommend the Skoda Kamiq or new Ford Puma.
