Can you recommend alternatives to the Honda Jazz on which I might get a good deal? I had a drive in the Jazz 1.4. Nice car, more comfortable and a better ride than our old one, but very underpowered at low engine speed. Really struggling in 2nd gear to get up a hill with 3 of us in - I was quite disappointed.

FIAT QUBO 1.3 Multijets from £9,295 at www.drivethedeal.com That's about £1,300 off. New model Citroen Berlingo Multispace 1.6 VT diesels even cheaper. The Jazz needs the 120PS 1.5 it is sold with in other parts of the world. See my test of the Honda City so fitted at www.honestjohn.co.uk That was easily pulling 140kmh with 6 adults aboard, and it still gave 43mpg.
