How do I renew my road tax without an MoT?

Now we can no longer get an MoT, how can we renew our road tax?

If your car has a valid MoT then you can still renew your road tax VED online. All MoTs from 30 March will automatically be extended for six months as the expiry date approaches. If your car's MoT expired before 30 March then you will need to get a new MoT or take the car off the public road and place it on SORN. Many MoT stations are open and still operating as normal.

The sixth month MoT extension expires on 1 August 2020: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/coronavirus/2020-06/mot-...t
