Do I need an ADAS calibration following a windscreen replacement?

My windscreen will need replacing as soon as this coronavirus crisis subsides and, looking at one of the major company's sites, it suggested having an ADAS calibration following replacement. Is this a recommendation or a requirement? I thought that an identical screen with an identical angle of rake would not have affected the instruments sufficiently.

It's a recommendation that we would support. If any of the sensors are knocked while the replacement windscreen is fitted, your driver assist features won't work correctly. Most of the big companies will offer this at the same time as the windscreen replacement.
