Coronavirus self-isolation advice for the over-70s - can I still drive my car?

It appears that the Government will be 'forcing' the over-70's to stay indoors. Surely, I can take my car out for a drive (on my own, windows shut and full tank of fuel)?
Not only will it keep the car in good condition but also stop me from going mad within the same four walls!

As things stand, you can drive your car, but you are advised not to exit the vehicle unless you at (or very near) your home: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/coronavirus/2020-03/coro.../
