Dripping yarn

I have recently noticed that both my wife’s car and mine have been leaking oil, albeit just a few spots on the driveway. Upon looking, both appear to be coming from the sump plug area and I cannot see any fluid anywhere else. This problem only appears to have started during the recent cold snap. Do you know what the problem could be and how do I fix it?

Could have hit the sump plugs on obstructions like speed cushions hidden by the covering of snow. Might need new sumps. Please get them fixed because oil dropped on road surfaces kills motorcyclists.
