Peugeot 308 wash wipe failure

Over the cold spell mine and a number of other 308 owners have experienced a failure of the wash facility for the screen. When i enquired at the local dealer the receptionist explained that it would have fused and could be repaired for £17. She had obviously been aware of the problem. Are Peugeot equally aware? Are there other people out there having experienced the same problem? No other car i have owned has had this problem.

If it's impossible for the pump to pump screenwash through iced up tubes then it is better for the fuse to fail than for the pump to burn out and cause an electrical fire.
