Can I claim against Volkswagen even though my car is not subject to the emissions recall?

I have a Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI Bluemotion, owned since 2013 and had lodged a claim under the group action against Volkswageb following the emissions scandal. I have since been advised that my engine is the EA288 which is apparently not subject to recall. If this is true, I was ignorant of this fact but would not have considered buying a Volkswagen diesel if I did not already own one. I suspect others may feel this way and that it has adversely affected the cars value. Do I have a claim against Volkswagen for this loss?

What on earth are you thinking? You can't claim against Volkswagen for this.
