New Touran

Having waited ages for VW to put the new CR Diesel engines in the facelifted Touran, and finally give a decent choice of interior leather trim colours, I thought I should let you know what put me off buying a New 2011 model Touran. The front seats are narrow, and VW have made it worse with the "sports" type seats with raised sides. These actually make it very difficult to get in and out of the front seats. There is nothing in the VW brochure that points out that you should not buy the Diesels if you are only doing short journeys each day, especially now they ALL have the DPF filters. They charge extra for DAB radio! how rediculous..All UK radio is going digital. No electrically operated folding door mirrors. Crude fabric pull mechanism to operate the folding seats. More like 1970s Skoda. Very dull instrument display. Worse than 1970s Skoda. I phoned VW to give them feedback but have got nowhere.

Thanks for the comments. Will add to car by car breakdown. They did the same stupid thing with the Golf Plus, instantly taking it off the recommended list in favour of the C-Max. What's the point of a tall car if you can't get in and out easily?
