Excellent value for money high performance estate car

This is my fourth Octavia and all have been reasonably priced and totally reliable. The Vrs estate, even in diesel form, offers lots of power with good economy and allows safer overtaking and ample load-carrying capacity. The technology is common across the VAG group and you can find the same components in much more expensive Audi and VW versions so why pay for a badge?
The interior is leather and standard equipment includes Sat Nav, DAB digital radio, cruise control, Bluetooth, heated mirrors, electric windows front and rear, reversing sensors, tyre pressure warning, climate control and fog lights. Admittedly I got a good deal but one would be hard pressed to find a new car like this at under £20,000.
The only downside is that it has a DPF so is not suitable for lots of short runs and the 18-inch low profile tires make for a firm ride, otherwise it is an excellent car.
