My better half is going to treat herself to a small auto.
She can have a new Hyundai i10 comfort for £6,250...with scrappage allowance.
She can have a new Picanto Red for £6,600...with scrappage allowance.
Having driven both of above,I rather prefer the Picanto personally.
She could also have a used Jazz CVT,1 owner,26,000mls,FHSH,05 reg for £6,400.
Should this be a no brainer in favour of the new car, with warranty etc,or would the Jazz
with its obvious build quality and perhaps durability(?) differences be an overall better buy?
Cheers....Phil

As a Jazz CVT driver I am biased as for me the car is ideal.
BUT, a new car for the same money cannot be beaten.
A used Jazz should be ok but the Titanic was thought to be unsinkable. If anything goes wrong the cost of repairs could be considerable. Off the top of my head I think an ABS pump is £1000, plus fitting.

It's got to be the new car every time
No brainer IMO

As a Jazz owner I want used Jazzii to be worth as much as possible, but £6,400 for a 4yr old one is a lot of money.

The i10 boot is pretty small; is this a problem?
[Disclosure: Just ordered a new i10 under scrappage]

Hi,no it would not be a problem. It would mainly only be used for travel to work and
shopping. She could put the rear seats down if nec.
