Vauxhall Meriva or the Ford B Max?

I’m looking to buy a small car, but can’t choose between the Ford B-Max or the Vauxhall Meriva. What is your view? My priorities are safety, economy, reliability and heated seats.

Either are good. Of course the Meriva B has been around longer so better chance of buying used. The 1.4T is the best engine. Do not buy the diesel of either the B-Max or Meriva.
