Best used hatchback for £10k?

My boyfriend and I are looking to buy a hatchback, which would be economical, reliable and used mainly for long trips. We have £10,000 to spend, but want something that’s fun to drive. What used models would you recommend?

www.drivethedeal.com recently had new Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost 100 Zetec 3-door models for £10,300. That's the best car in its class (though the 125 is better), and it's a brilliant price.
