Celica

I have a few queries which I noticed but as I have never driven a sports car like this was unsure. I have previosly driven a Nissan Juke Diesel and the clutch pedal seemed to require more force to push and let go. The celica seems the same. Is this normal.

Also when I press the brake it squeals on occasions. Is this serious

Clutch resistance varies car to car. Most are now hydraulic clutches but if it is a cable clutch and becomes extremely difficult to press the reason is usually a bent clutch arm. Brake squeal may be no more than overnight surface rust being scraped off the discs. But (when cold) feel them with your fingers. If they are ridged they might need skimming or replacing. If they are pitted with rust then they do need replacing.
