Buying a used 4x4 for work
I would like to buy a 4x4 pick up for work as a landscape gardener, but it also will be my car for everyday use. I have £5000 to buy a used truck, can go a bit higher if needed. The Rodeo, Ranger and Navara have been recommended, but everywhere I ask I get conflicting advice.

Most people say Hilux, but they are the most exspensive used. Others say the Navara, but on the forums they get slated. If you can give me a point in the right direction!

The wife has left me and taken the car with her, so I now have to date again at the age of 52!

So one that will look OK for taking the ladies out to dinner would be good! Anything's going to be better than my LDV open back truck!

The best in the UK is the Isuzu Rodeo with the twin chain cam 2.5 I-TEQ engine from late 2007. I know. I've bought two. It's a very amiable engine. It's relatively economical. And it has a lovely gearshift.
