Dealer wants to sell me tax on second hand car
I'm buying a second hand car from a dealer. He says that it still has 8 months tax left on it from the previous owner and do I want to buy it off him at a discount price. Is this a good idea? Should it not be included in the price if its with the original paperwork? Its a 2006 (57 registered) MINI convertible and he's offering it for £90 for 8 months.

It does not belong to the dealer to sell. Unless the dealer registers the car in his own name he cannot cash it in. So he's just trying it on and you should ask yourself if you want to deal with someone like that.
