BMW X5 - Trade in or not?

I have a grey BMW X5 4.4i V8 Sport 5dr Auto (2004 with 85K miles).

I love the vehicle, it being accurate, engaging, comfortable and practical.

I must confess I'm a sucker for BMWs - the way they look and drive - and wouldn't consider another marque.

I'm considering trading up for a Silver BMW X5 3.0sd Auto (2007 with 62K miles).

Firstly, is this a sensible move? He is offering me; (a) £6,500 as a trade in for my X5 and wants £22,000; (b) only a 3 month warranty (I thought the minimum was 6 months); and (c) I don’t find the Dealer immediately endearing or affable (I know that sounds silly…)?

If you don't like the dealer don't do the deal. That's your natural instinct telling you to stay clear of him.
