High bred

Presently I drive a 2006 Mercedes 220CDi CLC which I enjoy but I really need a 5-door economical, easy access vehicle as I am retiring soon and I am considering a small hybrid.

Whatever I buy has to be auto with cruise. My difficulty is I really like the prestige marques of, BMW, MB, Audi etc but they don't seem to do small hybrids and I am therefore considering an A Class. I have my CLC plus £10-£15k to spend. What would you recommend?

I'd go for either a Toyota Auris HSD T-Spirit (it's actually better than Prius III). Test and video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/toyota/toyota-auri.../ Or the new Lexus CT200. Test and video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/lexus/lexus-ct200h.../
