Fun hatchbacks for retirement

As I have just retired, what practical new or used hatchback (budget £10,000 -£11,000 would you recommend that would be as much fun to drive as my long loved MX-5 from four years ago?

New, Mazda 2 1.3TS2.

Used, Peugeot 207 GT 1.6THP 150, SREAT Leon 2.0TSI 200.

Huge difference in power outputs here. But that is no measure of handling and fun.
