3-piece sweet

I need to replace my old Audi A4 Avant TDI. Living in Central London running a furniture/antiques shop and with dogs, I want a workhorse. It must be automatic, and air conditioning; I would have liked a diesel but can't find anything. The Berlingo and Peugeot Partner don't have an auto. So I am thinking about the Renault Kangoo 1.6 petrol auto, however its CO2 emissions put it into a high VED band. I would consider a regular estate car or MPV but don't want anything too big. We do about 10,000 miles per year. Have you any suggestions, is there anything that is about to be announced that might suit our requirements?

I was ahead of you with the Kangoo auto as I read your e-mail. There is a selection of VW Caddy diesel vans, kombis and MPVs with the
DSG autobox. There's the KIA Soul 1.6 diesel automatic. And you can get a petrol auto Skoda Roomster. Unfortunately, no Citroen C3 Picasso auto until next year. More info on all in car-by-car breakdown at www.honestjohn.co.uk , with links to tests and video tests.
