  • Big up Andrew Moorey !! 4 Sep 2001 (Forum)
Sorry to lapse into Max Power speak but the result of my earlier thread entitled VW Golf Hassles is not a blown head gasket but a broken oil cooler. Mr Moorey of Tune Up Ltd. was the only one to suggest such a possibility and therefore deserves a round of applause
  • Congratulations 4 Sep 2001 (Forum)
It has got to be the best motoring site there is, full of intelligent postings and thankfully devoid of Max Power readers and "boy racers". Well done to all involved in the construction of the site. And thanks must also go to the regular contributers who have solved many a problem for motorists Thanks, Malcolm.

  • Cambelt woes. Renault Espace 3.0 24v 24 Jul 2004 (Forum)
So I could be looking at a bill for 50% of the car\'s value. But here\'s the thing - the first registered owner of the car was... the manufacturer. They had it for 8 months/ 6k miles. What\'s my best angle to get the manufacturer or dealer to cover some or all the cost?
  • Vectra door adjustment? 13 Jan 2003 (Forum)
Hello, I have a 1999 Vectra Estate; I was wondering if it's possible to adjust either the o/s front or o/s rear doors. The reason being, I've noticed that when the o/s rear door is opened, it catches the o/s front door slightly, and paint is unfortunately being damaged. Kind regards, Cyrill666

  • Just for fun II 1 Mar 2020 (Forum)
They’ve a real passion for cars with the sweet Mk I MX5, storming final RX7 Turbo and quirky Xedos from the late 80’s into the 90’s and the later post Ford era range, all of which are a pleasure to own as long as you avoid the diesels which for some reason Mazda just can’t get right. No the firm I’d pick is Peugeot.
  • 09 Ford Focus estate 1.6 TDCi Zetec 109bhp - Intermittent engine stutter 31 Jan 2021 (Forum)
Bought this car just over a year ago, 1 previous company driver, little over 80k at the time with full Ford service history, showing average MPG of just under 50mpg back then. I managed to get that up to around 52mpg for quite a while, had it seviced (independent garage belonging to a friend) in line with stated schedule (Air filter looked like the one fitted by the factory when it was removed, go Ford dealers) and the mpg improved a little more to around 54mpg.
