  • Cheap runabout £2000 advice 11 Feb 2012 (Forum)
I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand cheap runabout within the next couple of months, max price of £2000.  I'll mostly be using it at the weekends to get out of the city, or for a quick run down to the supermarket.  I've previously owned a Ford Puma, a Fiat Punto and a Ford Sierra, and I'm really not fussed by the looks of the car, as long as it's reliable and not a shed and will last me for a few years without costing an arm and a leg.
  • Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 06 2.0 tdci strarting problem 31 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Just recently it has started to develop a starting problem. When you turn the key in the morning the glow plug light only lights for 1 second max and then you turn the key and it starts with no problems and then stops and the glow plug light comes back on for another second or two. You then try again and it will allways start. Once it has started it will run and start for the rest of the day no problem.

  • New Toyota Hi-Lux 3 Dec 2005 (Forum)
s very bland, plus the interior appointments are inferior. I also looked at the Ford and Mitsubishi equivalents but they are a couple of years out of date now as well as being a bit agricultural. Pickups here are now valid and fashionable urban transportation and Toyota has got there first for sure.

  • Speedo broken/poor performance/h. gasket 20 Apr 2003 (Forum)
His right foot is heavy but not made of lead. Finally I was a passenger in said Mondeo the other day when my friend\'s friend\'s (!) Punto blew its head gasket. He drives like a fool, stereotypical boy racer. He blasts it from cold and uses cheap oil. However the gasket blew at 80 on the motorway shortly after he had been nudging 100.

  • Ford Fiesta Mk 4 - What\'s wrong? 6 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Hi all, I recently purchased an N reg Ford Fiesta Ghia but in the (new back then) Mark 4 shape. The car has had a new engine put in which is a 1.25 Zetec-S engine. All in all, the car runs perfectly but there are a few niggling things. Occasionally, when started, the revs will drop to almost stalling point and sometimes the engine will stop.

  • 7 seater 22 Aug 2013 (Forum)
Neither of these seem to be made anymore and the only big one left seems to be the Chrysler GV which seems to be on its last legs (and is horrible for car tax with 207 gms of CO). Everyone seems to point to the S-Max. Does anyone have any ideas?  Need to get 3 kids in plus lots of luggage for fairly regular trips to Normandy and up north. Any ideas? Thanks Paul
