  • Ford Focus - Ford focus 2015 onwards engine choices 8 Feb 2024 (Forum)
Hi I'm on the lookout for another car up to £7.5 max, considering a Ford Focus MK3. Noticed from 2015 the engines are mainly Turbo in 1.5 or 1.0 guise. I was hoping for a 1.6 N/A but can only find a few and they are all auto powershift.  Did they phase out the 1.6?

  • Ford S-MAX (2006 - ) - Turning your engine off at traffic lights? 16 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I?ve often heard that to start a car?s engine requires more fuel than leaving it running at a set of traffic lights for a short while? Is this true? If you have a warm engine, why does it need ?extra? fuel to start it? If this is true, how long would you need to be waiting at the lights before it becomes more economical to turn the engine off and re-start when the lights go green?

  • Ford S-MAX (2006 - ) - Ford Warranty 8 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Just bought a Ford Smax from a franchised dealer - picking up tomorrow. Can anyone just clarify Ford warranties - told I'd have balance of manufacturer warranty. Can anyone confirm this is 3 yr (60,000 miles)? I assumed this but a bit of internet reading makes me wonder if manufacturer warranty is only a year, then "dealer backed warranty" for 2 years.
