Ford S-MAX (2006 - ) - (2006-) 2.5 turbo - Wipers configured for LHD 1 Feb 2008 (Forum)
My S-Max (2.5 turbo petrol titanium) wipers seem to be on the wrong way round, configured for left hand drive. The longer one is on the passenger side and sprays water onto the drivers side windscreen on return to its resting position. -

This clears if you shut the engine off and start it again. I just wonder if any other S-Max drivers have found the same fault and whether their dealer was able to remedy it? Ford are aware of the issue, allegedly, but have not come up with a solution - so until they do their line is 'if you start the car according to the Handbook it will start without problem'. -

I'm in the market for an manual/auto S-Max, well aware there are no guarantees over reliability a £4,000 maximum budget. That's all there is in the kitty and I won't be borrowing any more to extend the budget. Mileage annually no more than 10,000 putting me preferably in the petrol camp, these are unfortunately thin on the ground.
