  Ayrton Senna’s grand prix-winning McLaren F1 car is heading to auction. The record-setting 1993 Ford MP4/8A single-seater will go under the hammer at Bonhams’ Monaco sale on 11 May. For Senna, who won six Monaco GPs it total, 1993 was his last season with McLaren. The team had ended its successful engine supply partnership with Honda and was due to use Peugeot engines in 1994.

  Three low-mileage modern classic performance icons are going under the hammer later this month. The Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, Vauxhall Carlton, and Series One Lotus Elise will be offered at the Silverstone Classic auction over the weekend of 29-30 July. The 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (No. 387) has 10,733 miles on the clock, having enjoyed a very quiet life for the past 26 years.

    Mister and misses I recently bought a 2012 Ford Focus (still supposedly with 1 year manufacturers guarantee). In the mornings, the inside of the windscreen is often misted up. (Other cars on the street are not suffering this). My local Ford dealer will not look at this problem as he says this is not covered by Fords guarantee.
