  Registrations in Q1 and Q2 have already set new records and 2016 is on course surpass the 370,000 vans that were registered in 2015.  The record growth in van sales has been attributed to the increase in home deliveries, with small and large firms adding vans to their fleets and downgrading from trucks to light commercial vehicles. .

  Memorial to honour Endurance Rally Association founder 18 Jan 2016 (News)
  Philip died in hospital in Bangkok on Wednesday, 11 March, 2015, following complications arising from a motorcycle accident in Burma. He was 66 years old. Rally director Fred Gallagher said, 'We are planning for this to be true celebration of an amazing man, a happy occasion with words, video footage and pictures to lighten the mood and to make sure that we all remember Philip as the incredible life force and innovator that he was.'

  Classic-style numberplates now legal on pre-1975 cars 23 Sep 2015 (News)
  She said, 'By law, vehicles recorded as being in the historic tax class can display the black and white or black and silver-style plates. Since April 2015, vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1975 can display the older style marks providing they have applied to DVLA and are recorded within the historic tax class. 'Vehicles that aren’t recorded in the historic tax class by DVLA should only display registration plates in the current standard.'

  Nissan Adopts London Taxi Look For New NV200 Cab 6 Jan 2014 (News)
  But Nissan has had a re-think and as well as a re-style to make the NV200 look like a traditional London Taxi, it has also adopted a 1.6 petrol engine coupled to an automatic transmission. An electriv 'EV' version using Leaf/Zoe components will follow in 2015. Nissan’s newly-redesigned taxi has been developed for London, in London, by Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in Paddington, the same design centre responsible for the Qashqai and Juke.  Nissan already has a pedigree in the London taxi market – its 2.7-litre TD27 diesel engine was fitted to the FX4 ‘Fairway’ and TX1 black cabs during the 1980s and ‘90s and gained a reputation for reliability and durability.

  Government boosts funding to tackle congestion 27 Sep 2013 (News)
  The Government is inviting local councils to submit bids by the end of October for a share of the remaining £55 million being made available. Most of the projects will be delivered by 2015 and include improvements to traffic signals, widening and realignment of roads and the introduction of better bus routes. The money will also be used to  upgrade bridges and routes badly affected by rush hour traffic.  The fund is aimed predominantly at schemes that can be delivered quickly and offer immediate impact.
