  Finally after much trying got hold of a 375ml can of this at exorbitant price £11.74 MOT centre told me to put it in the fuel filter and bit left over in the tank. Before Forte Average emission test 3.29m-1 (Fail as limit 2.5) After Forte and 15 mile full throttle run Average 1.21m-1. Oh joy! (Did try other brand Injector cleaner from Halfords before in the tank but did not help) Wonder if the secret to get quick results was putting the fuel additive in the Fuel filter?

  Citroen Berlingo van - 2007 Fuel/glow plug problem - hot running becomes a non-starter and RAC advised a faulty fuel pressure switch/sensor? All the research I’ve done points to a ‘multi-function relay’ issue? Would these be the same thing?

  Replacing the Bosch fuel filter on my diesel there are two push on fuel hoses.  The connectors have two tabs either side which you have to pinch in to release the hose. Can someone explain how these connectors grip the pipe, I just don't understand how they work, what is preventing them sliding off?

  Hi all! My sister has a 99 Toyota Yaris and i am trying to change the fuel filter but cannot seem to find it. There is a black 'box' mounted to the bulkhead just to the right of the engine that one of the fuel lines runs into but i cant see any way of undoing it. It seems to be the right size though.

  I think everybody knows that supermarkets like Morrison's, Tesco etc fuel is cheaper than branded name like Shell and BP. Somehow I have the feeling based on unverified experience that supermarket fuel is less efficient in terms of mile per gallon it covers. Is this true?

  Can someone tell how to find the correct fuel filter for my Citroen C5 2.2 HDI 2001, spoke to Citroen and all he could give was the fuel filter part no. 190677 which isn't very helpful if i want to buy it from say Halfords!! It is either a Bosch or Siemens.

  just tried to change my mates fuel filter on the corsa 1.2 8 v tha damn thing won't come off!! it is the metal inline can type near the fuel tank, don't want to break the clips but how do you undo the damn thing?? it seems to push in i tried squeezing and pulling but no joy yet please help somebody!!!!!

  My Renault Espace 1990 Petrol injection won't fire. Mechanic has confirmed it runs if power is run directly to the fuel pump, but otherwise pump receives no power. He suggested ECU controls fuel pump so that's been computer checked and is OK. He thinks there is a relay somewhere but cannot locate it. Can anyone help please?

  HJ, You have talked often about fuel quality, and especially supermarket grades. Can you tell me whether when I see an Esso lorry pulling up at Asda's filling stations, and Texaco at Morrison's supermarket filling stations, are they delivering the same grade of fuel as that delivered to their own filling stations, or do the supermarkets buy an inferior grade?

  Caught a snatch of the news yesterday about Ford investing in a new/existing production facility as a high tech diesel engine factory. The reporter said Ford was making this investment as it regarded diesel as "the" fuel of the future. Ten years ago I thought diesel fuel was encouraged by our "leaders", recently less so......are we going the other way again? David
