Bring back the Coupe 29 Apr 2020 (Forum)
In the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s we had loads of affordable yet practical sports coupes to choose from but today only the prestige brands really cater for this market. It gave mainstream brands like Ford, Vauxhall and Peugeot the opportunity to charge a higher price and achieve higher margins from mass market underpinnings with cars like the Capri, Puma, Probe, Cougar, Manta, Calibra, Tigra, 406/407 Coupe, Alfa GTV, Brera, MX6 and Celica without having to invest a huge sum of money. -

Peugeot 206 - Labour costs 7 Jul 2015 (Forum)
They therefore are saying they will have a look at the car and replace the 3 part clutch pack with a new one if they agree with the assessment of a failing clutch release bearing but, they say that: 1. we will have to pay for the replacement part(s) and the labour to have the part(s) replaced; 2. they will send the failed part(s) to the manufacturer for investigation; 3. if the manufacturer finds a defect, we will be refunded the cost of the part(s) but, not any labour costs. -

Motoring in 2050 - what will it look like? 15 Dec 2008 (Forum)
I?d really like to avoid the boring ?it?s real? ?no it?s not? arguments, as opinions are entrenched. Rather, my question is: what could we do to maintain our current standards of living? As a start, it seems to me that the very model of car ownership may have to change. -
FIAT Punto II (1999 - 2006) - 1.9D, the old smoker, quits in time for MOT.. 4 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Questioning SWMBO, she has switched garages last year, now filling up with a different fuel near her work instead of the well known (also) major fuel brand (normal derv, not extra priced) we have have used for years. That`s a real shocker as I don`t believe in any of this, or fuel additives but that`s the only variable from previous years. It goes without saying given my beliefs, fuel additives have never been used. Now, I should say that the Local Authority MOT testers, have always stamped on the pedal on the smoke test. -
If you have an S-Max.... 25 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Before reading this post, please note this was my own fault and I take full responsibility... However, if you have an S-max despite what Ford UK and Ford ETIS says the S-Max does not have a 'usaeble' 70 litre fuel tank. From my last two tanks I have got 62.28 litres and 63.54 litres in the tank. On both occoasions, the fuel computer claimed I had about 10 miles left in the tank. -
Parking Fine - worth appealing? 4 Dec 2005 (Forum)
(And of course, send a Mr Angry letter with the cheque questioning the parentage of the Bath Parking Services representations Officer!) If I do appeal, it?s not so much the £30, it?s a matter of principle ? I paid for 2.8 hours but only used 2.5 yet they want to fine me. Your opinions please (if you can be bothered!!!) Phil
