I have a 4 month old baby, two dogs,I currently have an 11 year old Toyota Yaris which is under miles at 38000 and in great condition. I brought my Yaris a year or so ago when I was not pregnant and had one dog. I do not drive too far or make long journeys however when I take the car out now it is so tight on space even if I have a passenger and my son the back seat is full and the boot is full with the pram let alone with the dogs to. -

Head-on collision: video clip 11 Dec 2006 (Forum)
www.nothingtoxic.com/uploads/c9345aac15c2c0d6432e37f468dd596d.wmv The above link is to a disturbing (but not gory) video clip. It depicts an actual head-on collision between a limousine and a car. The limousine chauffeur and his 5-year old girl passenger were killed instantly (the 5-year old girl was decapitated). The car driver survived and is in custody. The accident was caused by the car driver drunk-driving on the wrong side of the road; the limo chauffeur had no time to do anything to avoid the car. -
22% of 3-year old UK cars fail their first MOT 9 May 2008 (Forum)
Very interesting item yesterday in HJ's Motoring News: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/item.htm?id=4733 Quote: 21.6 per cent of three-year old cars fail their first MoT test - a higher failure rate than in some European countries that do first roadworthiness tests after four years. The key questions are; [A] · Why are first-test pass rates in some European countries better at four years than UK pass rates after three years? -
SLK roof 22 Jun 2020 (Forum)
Posted before about my SLK 2012 roof coming away at the back in hot weather. Mercedes say the car is too old for them to address this issue. Moral, don't leave your Merc in the sun, it could come unstuck like mine. -

Depreciation Data 3 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Is there anywhere on the internet I can find detailed depreciation data for cars? Obviously it will be predicted but for example I'd like to know roughly how much a Mondeo TDCi, C5 HDi, Passat TDi etc would be worth at 3,4 and 5 years old. -

Toyota Avensis - Buying an older higher mileage Toyota 2 Feb 2017 (Forum)
My question is will it be better in the long run to invest in something better or will the cheaper option be a solid runner? The older car is the old shape so there is a saving for that reason. Also I know the maintenance cost will be higher for the older car but then I will have spent £3.5k less on the actual car (almost half!) -

Emissions Enigma 23 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Just had my emission test done. Needed to re-register car tomorrow (no MOT as such here where I live, just the smoke test). It's only 10 months old so it passed with CO% reading of 1.4 (pass is 3.5) and HC 323 ppm (pass is 600). On getting my certificate I see there are different pass standards for different cities, for example Cebu and Davao are 6 for the CO and 7,500 for the HC(huh?). -

CAR OF THE YEAR POLL RESULTS 5 Jan 2002 (Forum)
For Dream Car, I'd have gone for the Ferrari 550 Maranello, but preferably the new one with the paddle shift gearchange as the old 550 gearchange really slows down what you can do with the car. For Used Car of the Year it has to be the old-shape Mondeo because it's a good car and fantastic value at the moment. -
Smallish car with a smooth ride? 5 Sep 2022 (Forum)
So I'm looking to get a car - budget around £8k, I'm basically looking for the smoothest ride possible because I've got a head nerve problem. Are there any smallish/medium size cars models that have decent suspension? I'm in love with the old MK1 Ford fiestas and VW Golfs but I'm not sure they'll be that smooth, is modding the suspension an option in these cars at all? -
Dealer Sold Car With My Private Plate 24 Mar 2021 (Forum)
I recently traded in my car to a dealer. My car has a private plate but I was unable to do the retention online. The dealer subsequently applied for the retention via post and I paid them the fee. I see now that the dealer has sold my old car ( currently reserved).
