Skoda Octavia - Bacteria in aircon 8 May 2011 (Forum)
I suspect that bacteria in the aircon system may be causing throat & chest infections. If I run the system on max heat with the aircon on through the face level vents for 15 minutes should this clear any bacteria. -

Honda Accord 2004 - front discs replacement 1 Aug 2011 (Forum)
Hi looking for help. Just replaced the front discs on the car, which was pretty straightforward and something I've done often on other cars. Now gradually bedding in the brakes, but the pedal now feels spongey. Can't understand this since I never opened up the hydraulics : all i did was open the reservoir top and push back the piston on each wheel. -

Octavia TDI not starting 4 Mar 2005 (Forum)
My W reg Octavia TDI wouldn't start this morning: I drove the children to school with no problem (half a mile, heated rear window on etc) and got back in the car after dropping them off and it wouldn't start. The engine turns but doesn't fire. The glowplug light goes out too. Car was serviced less than a month ago, and the fuel filter replaced. -
Steamy cavalier. 30 Nov 2003 (Forum)
When I start it in the morning and put the blowers on the cold setting everything is ok. If I put them on hot the whole car steams up in seconds; I can feel the moisture in the air as it comes through the vents. As the air heats up it gets even worse (probably because hot air can hold more moisture). After about ten minutes of driving the problem goes away and doesn't re-occur until the car has been left for a while. -

Plastic engines 8 Jun 2002 (Forum)
(combustion chambers, cylinder liners, bearings and thread inserts) Cheaper, lighter, won't corrode, lower heat loss, and there must be a plastic out there that would be suitable. Anyone know whether this is already being worked on by any car manufacturers? Richard Hall http://bangernomics.tripod.com -

Extras I would like are heated seats, android auto, start/stop & parking sensors/camera my budget is £6k (target) but I can stretch to £6.5k my annual mileage will probably be low - around 4-5000 Some motorway trips and lots of driving around town. -
