front lower wishbones - Vectra-C 27 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I have allready changed front springs and shocks ,and anti roll bar bushes and drop links . Car has done 130,000 ish miles but never changed the wishbones , guess these dont last forever ? Or am I overlooking something ? Car make added to subject header (as per the sticky request at the top of the page) to make question less vague. -

A wreck of a car is sold for £100. The car is sold without licence disc (on which there is £85 of tax remaining), as agreed by both parties. The vendor forgets to remove the tax disc from the windscreen. He jump starts the sold car, and the buyers drive off. -

In this day and age with the car work load increasing the positioning of important instruments is being ignored. With our speed now being monitored nearly everywhere it is paramount to be able to see ones speed without searching somewhere through the steering wheel, why are cars not fitted with either 'Heads up Speedo' or a small binnacle speedo at the foot of the windscreen so that speed can be seen without taking ones eyes from the Road? -

Also the windscreen has shattered. It is a 2002 Astra Estate, with 73k miles on the clock. I should imagine the market value to be around £1.5k give or take. I live in the middle of nowhere with 3 kids and need a car :-( Thanks -

Vauxhall Corsa C - Front drive shafts/CV joints 15 Jun 2011 (Forum)
However I took the car for its 9th annual service to the same vauxhall dealer, who informed me that both front drive shafts are worn & noisy and would need replacing asap as there would be a safety risk if the driveshafts failed when the car would be driven at speed. -

Basically a buyer has been perfectly happy with his EV and traded it after 3 years for the same car but latest model. It promised a range of some 285plus miles which he was happy with getting some 250 miles with the old model. The reality with the new one he says is "barely 200 in cold weather" due he thinks to the new car having a heat pump. -
Peugeot 206 Discs 22 Apr 2003 (Forum)
Other half took her 206 to an independant for 2 yr service, he recommended it needed new discs and pads. Now for a 16000 mile car new discs is a bit extreme I thought. Drove the car myself and they are so bad that it feels like the ABS is working all the time, and the car lurches to a stop! Has anyone else had this problem? -

Ford Focus tyre pressures - nightmare 15 Aug 2006 (Forum)
When I drive the Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCi with 34 lbf in the front and rear tyres the ride feels hard and somewhat jittery. When the tyre pressures were set at 30lbf front and 30lbf rear the ride was significantly better, more comfortable, quieter, and the balance of the car felt better. -

Heat/water problem on 94 Corsa SRi 16 Dec 2002 (Forum)
There is now more yellow gunk in the top cover than before, no noticeable water loss however - and even when i leave the engine running with the car sat still, the needle will not rise to 90, previously it would take about 5 minutes before the temp had risen enough for the fan to kick in. The heater now blows warmish air, but not quite as warm as it used to! -
