Servicing Costs! 26 Mar 2005 (Forum)
I got a quote from Volvo and it was nearly £1K!, I then went to a local family run garage that is near my Dad's house (who the old boy has used for years) and he did the whole job for £350. I picked up the car this morning and he spent about 1/2 hour showing me all of the old parts that he had replaced and then got the car on the ramps and showed me all of the work he had done and let me have a really good poke about. -
Garage just replaced two month old springs - mad 3 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Booked the car in at a garage I have never used before but is in the good garage scheme for two new front springs. I agreed the price and let them get on with the work. Just went to pick up my car and saw two brand new looking but slightly soild rear springs of a Corsa on the floor. -
Petrol cars - Spark plug - longevity, and gap 31 Dec 2021 (Forum)
Perhaps that's why the coil pack failed a couple of years ago. Anyway, they are staying in for now, as the 21yr old car might not survive beyond the next MoT in March. -
Audi Quality 2 Sep 2006 (Forum)
I also noticed that the boot carpet marks exceptionally easily as its so thin, so my customer, who plays golf and uses the boot often, already has a very worn boot area. I have another customer with one that is 2 years old and also plays golf and his boot looks like it was used as a pick up such is the wear and tear. What makes me comment is that I was cleaning a 4 year old A6 today, also with leather. Now this car has 150,000 miles on it yet the boot area, which gets used extensively, is still as tidy as it was when new, because the carpet is far more suitable for a boot area. -

She got her new car with a £200 discount I had to draw teeth to extract (not known for discounts is old Arnold) but the car was priced well enough to start with and the £200 extra she got for her old car from me along with the saving on her finance puts her at £2110.16 ahead of where she could've been! -
