  Hoping someone can give an idea what my issue is. I have a gen 7 Celica and this morning I couldn't get any heat on my way to work. Figured it could be an air lock, however when driving home this evening the temp gauge kept going to hottest then back down every few minutes. When I got home I lifted the bonnet and there is coolant splashed all around near the coolant reservoir.

  H reg mr2 heater matrix was goosed, took out dash, replaced matrix all in 4 hours, replaced dash board, and now the heating fan is not working!! Checked all fuses and they seem to be ok, is there a something I am missing?? dash is back out for the third time and really getting p***ed off now! We cut the a/c pipes etc at the bulkhead as that has been by passed from the engine when I replaced the blown engine 2 months ago.

  As expected the car passed 100k on Saturday - here is the report on the experience so far. It is a March 04 Executive Tourer with Metallic paint and a space saver spare (the only two extras) - comes with leather , heated seats, CD changer etc.

  Hi All. We'll soon be moving to Switzerland, which means giving up our UK cars and buying a 4x4 on winter tyres (we'll be living at 1km altitude, so this is necessary apparently). My wife has an auto only ilcense and we have 2 young children to accommodate in stage 1 & 2 rear-facing car seats.

  I have a W-Reg 5-door Fiesta Finesse Just had my car recently serviced (feb) and about two-three weeks later noticed a fishy/horse smell coming from my heaters. Since I've been transporting a lot of manure about I didn't think much of it.   I have replaced my heater control valve a month ago as it the heating wasn't working now it only blows hot air and the HCV only gets 12v supply regardless of heat settings. I have managed to get hold of the wooden effect panal (as my car is the Ghia) for the dashboard.

  Occaisionally in the cooler damper weather I find that i have a patch of quite wet condensation on the inside of the screen above the demist vent, more than just mist, nevertheless the aircon clears it quickly and the heated screen helps if required. There is no sign of water ingress in the car, the carpets are dry as is the boot, no damp smells, the climate / heating etc works fine, no coolant loss etc. I wonder if the aircon evap drain could be blocked, I guess this could cause such symtoms.

  I have an Astra Turbo Diesel 95, when the car is cold i don't get any heat from my heaters until the water temperature reaches 100 and then hot air comes out straight away. the water temperature then goes back to normal temperature (90) straight away and i have heat as normal. i had froth in my expansion tank, but this seems to have stopped since i replaced the cap.

  I have now owned my Audi for 9 months, and only this week have I discovered that it has heated wing mirrors. They run off the same switch as the heated rear window (which doesn't work terribly well, so I don't normally bother with it). I suppose I should have read the handbook when I bought the car - I wonder what other hidden toys it has?

  Hi, I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to go about getting a refund for repairs to a car that I bought 8 weeks ago. From the day I bought the car I have had issues with the car having no heating and losing coolant. I have been in contact with the dealer who sold me the car and they arranged for the thermostat to be replace with a local garage that they use, on the drive home from the garage the engine management light came on and has remained on ever since.
