  The only solution is to disconnect the battery. When the battery is reconnected, and the radio code re-entered, it will work again for a period, and the fault will then recur. Has anyone encounetred this problem? Is it a fault with the radio, or is it in the car's electrics?

  Our VW Beetle came with the stubby screw in radio aerial, mounted at the rear of the roof, just before the tailgate. Some light fingered individual nicked it the other night, thereby making Radio 2 rather crackly! VW quoted c. £18 inc. VAT for a replacement!

  I have just acquired a 1997 VW Passat that has very poor radio reception. I have tried a replacement roof mounted aeriel from VW but this did not help. I have also substituted the lead from the radio to the aeriel, but still no good. If I connect another aeriel to the radio I get perfect reception.

  I see endless posts here from owners of Ford cars about obtaining the radio code. I'm thinking about buying a used Focus / C-Max and would like to know where the radio code should have been recorded when the vehicle was new ? The first owners must have had it so why do so many go missing ?

  I have a Ford Fiesta car radio 4500 RDS E.O.N. And I can't recieve FM on the radio, but can get am. It is defo not the Ariel. Fm comes up on the display, but just a hissing sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  I have just bought my son an 03 plate Fiesta 1.4 Zetec. It has had a recent new battery and the radio/CD will not now work without the code. The manuals/paperwork supplied with the car do not record this. Ford want £25 to supply the code!! Does anyone have the keycode please? The radio serial no. is M038375.

  hi, i was wondering if anybody could help me. i have a ford fiesta zetec 2005 and ive searched high and low for the radio code with no luck.  the radio is a rds 4500 and the serial on the back  is mo44876. it would be very much appreciated if somebody could help as my car is extremely boring with no music playing :(

  My radio has stopped delivering AM programmes. The FM reception is perfect. When tuned to AM noisy interference swamps the just-audible signal. Do I need to buy a new radio? Any help would be appreeciated.

  Hi, My wife's Micra (54 plate) has lost its radio code after timing chain renewal. Car was originally damaged repairable, so although there is a radio code in the owner's manual it doesn't work, so I suspect that it has been already been recoded.

  My Seat Arosa (2004/04) has got very poor radio reception. I have taken it to the dealers who have replaced the aerial and roof mounting and the cable from the back of the stereo to the aerial. This did not work and the reception is still bad. Next week they will repalce the radio/CD and amplifier.

  Hi, Hope someone can help.Having a problem turning on the radio. My car is fitted with a Blaupunkt 300 radio cassette player. It used to come on as soon as the key was turned in the ignition. Now, most times I have to keep pushing the on/off switch( volume control knob) about 20 to 30 times to get it to work, if at all.

  i have just recently bought a zx furio (m plate). i started it the other day and the radio started, stopped, started and then asked for the code. it is the original fit unit, but nothing i have done has helped. the radio just sits there asking for some unknown code. can anyone help? ps - the code number i was given didn't work!
