. Launched in 1991, the Guiguiaro-styled Cinquecento (or 500) was also the first Fiat city car to be front engined, the original 500 and 126 having had the power unit adrift of the rear axle. It was also the first car to be built exclusively at Fiat’s Tychy factory in Poland, formerly the home of FSO, or Polski-Fiat. -
Last day auction prices from Barrett Jackson Scottsdale and Mecum Kissimmee 19 Jan 2015 (News)
Sunday was the last day of Barrett Jackson’s 1,600 car Scottsdale marathon, and also the third day of Mecum auctions at Kissimmee. So we thought we’d cover both with what we were able to pick up from Twitter. Richard Rawlings got up on stage to hype the Ugly Kid 1971 Chevrolet Kingswood wagon, but we’d be grateful to anyone for a price. -

Toyota recalls 6.4 million cars for safety checks 9 Apr 2014 (News)
The vehicles affected were built between January 2005 and August 2010. In total this covers 10,339 UK-registered cars. Toyota has also admitted that the Yaris and Urban Cruiser (2005 -2009) is affected by a fault with the steering column bracket. The bracket on some models might break when the steering wheel is repeatedly turned with full force. -

The Beetle was at that point out of the water, although Neil had no idea of what was to come, ‘Little did I know that the flood level was to rise by a total of eight feet.’ The car ended up almost completely covered, with only the top of its roof visible above the water. GTI International Coming Up On 4th-6th July 18 Jun 2014 (News)
As at last year, the main event will be the quarter-mile drag race. Here, visitors to the event can 'run what they brung', testing the acceleration of their cars against the clock on a real drag strip with world-class timing, watched by a crowd from the 3,000-seater grandstand. The strip will also have demo runs from many of the country’s top tuning companies, as well as members of the Volkswagen Drag Racing Club. One highlight will be Paul Jordan’s four-wheel-drive Scirocco 20VT that can cover the standing quarter in 8.95 seconds, hitting 150 mph. -
